The tournament will be played over 9 rounds, with every player expected to play in ALL NINE rounds. Separate tournaments will be held for the Open and Under-20 Divisions and will be run at the same time.

This event will start at approximately 9:00 am. Kindly ensure that you are at the playing venue by 8:45 am at the latest. 

The tournament will end at approximately 3:30 pm followed by the presentation ceremony. Please walk with your snacks, water/juices and lunch.

Members are asked to ensure that their fees are paid up to 2023

Fees are to be paid to the Guyana Chess Federation’s MMG Account. Payments are made via MMG by using the Shop N Go option under the Services menu.

Under the “Add a note section”: Please enter your NAME and reason for paying.
Payments can also be made at an MMG agent in your area using the same method.  

Registration can only be done using this form and will be closed at 5 PM ON December 29th 2023. No in-person registration is allowed.

DISCIPLINE
The Tournament Organizers expect the highest standards of behaviour and fair play by the participants.
Default Time: The player who has not made a move five (5) minutes after the official start of the rounds shall lose his/her game.

ATTIRE
Players are requested to note that all players must be appropriately attired and maintain a dignified appearance at all times during the tournament. Slippers, shorts, sunglasses, sports caps and revealing attire are not allowed.
